Some 15mm miniatures, Germans in their snazzy two-tone uniform as worn in 1939 and '40. The armoured cars are Quality Casting models, everything else is by Battlefront.
The armoured cars scouting the way:
Zipping along behind the armoured cars is one of the kradschutzen platoons:
Having hopped out of their trusty trucks, the mortar platoon sets up:
I never realised how many small, dangly, multicoloured bits the Germans have on their belts.

Tanks in Pretty Paint Schemes
Three Matildas wearing the "Caunter" paint scheme used in the Egyptian and Libyan theatre from 1940 to 1941:
And here are three "Honey" Stuarts wearing the same colours:
Also found lurking in the same storage container were the General Lee and Daisy's Jeep:

More Random Miniatures
I needed a longsword-wielding female Elf cleric type for the AD&D campaign I've been running and Reaper came to the rescue. This sun-aspected lady had her mace removed and replaced with a long sword blade.
Hiding from the sun-priestess are this trio of skeletal warriors, Reaper miniatures:
And then we have a few more of the characterful Citadel "Lord of the Rings" minis from the early to mid-Eighties. These are a pair of Haradrim warriors, foot and mounted:
Now she's ready to bless her valiant party members and also smite the enemy when the paladin and knight miss.
Next up is Strider on foot and mounted, Citadel miniatures from around 1985.

Four More Heroes Join The Ranks
Four figures from Reaper Miniatures.
First up, a well-equipped Lunar swordwoman. Must be one of those Carmanian types:
Gearing up to counter her influence over his Sartarite clansmen, we have a priest of the storm pantheon:
And lastly, another swashbucklerette, looking very swish with her frilly lace trim and gold edging:

A dwarf in formal wear (ie. full plate armour, clean and shiny axe, optional cloak):

And a few More.
And a few more photos of recent miniatures.
First up, Cowbear riding to the rescue. Miniature from Eureka Miniatures.
A friend needed a Drow ranger for D&D. Miniature from Reaper:
And then we have Miss Muppet. Things are not going to end up well for the spider...

Miss Muppet by Reaper.
So, a blog spot to play with!
A few recent painting sessions to show off.
First up, we have a heroic fighter of unknown provenance but dating from the early 1980s. This fine fellow is rich and can afford to look spiffy in his purples:
Next up, a pack of grey wolves, miniatures from Reaper:
Another Reaper figure, one of their highlanders:
A handful of Games Workshop Empire State Troops. I needed these as city watch for a D&D game and I wanted to experiment with colours for an eventual Marienburg-themed force:
This keen chap is another oldie. I think he's a Citadel figure from the mid-1980s. Ranger looking for trouble. *edit 15 August: not just any old ranger looking for trouble, this one. I'm pretty sure it is the 'on foot' figure from the 1985(ish) "Aragorn, foot and mounted"*:
And this young lady is from Reaper. Magenta was a popular colour back in the days of swashbuckling derring-do:
Treehuggers come out to play. Wood Elf Bloodbowl team, trying to look fierce and intimidating:
Richter Krueger and his Cursed Company waving swords and bony fingers at the cruel world:
